About
Bringing price transparency to the tiki mug hobby.
Tiki mugs have a passionate collector market, but unlike stamps, coins, or trading cards, it has never had a reliable, public source of valuation. Prices live scattered across auction listings, forums, and private sales. Tikinomics exists to change that.
We collect historical sale data from across the hobby and turn it into present-moment valuations for individual mugs — each with a confidence range so you know how firm the estimate is. We also publish the Tiki Value Index (TVI), a single benchmark that tracks the market as a whole, much like a stock index tracks an equity market.
Who it's for
Collectors use Tikinomics to understand what their pieces are worth, track the value of a collection over time, and support asking prices when they sell. Sellers attach a Tikinomics Certificate to a listing to back up a price. Newcomers use it to learn the market before they buy.
How we make money
Tikinomics is supported by Collector memberships — not advertising. Free accounts can browse the index and a limited number of mug pages each month. Collector members get unlimited access, collection tracking, and certificates for an introductory $12.99/year. Tiki artists can claim an Artist tier ($19.99/year) with a performance dashboard and pricing insights for future runs. We may earn a referral fee if you choose coverage through an insurance partner, but that recommendation only appears for members whose collections cross a value threshold, and never as an ad.
A note on accuracy
Our valuations are statistical estimates derived from real sales, not appraisals or guarantees of sale price. The market moves, condition varies, and rare pieces trade thinly. We're transparent about that uncertainty — it's why every valuation comes with a confidence range. Read more in our methodology.
